Where Did It Come From?The mummy of the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun is placed in a tomb that is located in the Valley of the Kings, East Valley, Thebes West Bank, Thebes in the main wadi. The famous tomb (KV62) comprises of a staircase that descends to the first doorway to another descending corridor leading to a second doorway. This second doorway led to a room described as the Antechamber with a side chamber called the Annex. There is also another side chamber known as the Treasury which is connected to the Burial chamber. This chamber is where the mummy of the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun is located. His body was enclosed within three mummiform coffins and four wooden shrines.
