Religion most likely played a major role in their society because of paintings, carvings, and inscriptions honoring deities found on items especially on the golden sarcophagus. Their burial practices were significant in their society as a result of one practice which was the removal of internal organs from the body of Tutankhamun and placing them in the four canopic jars. As well as the linen-wrapping that encased his body. Moreover the social and economic status of Tutankhamun and Ancient Egypt by reason of the cobra found on Tutankhamun’s crown showing his supremacy and the rings of nobility found on the mummy demonstrating hierarchy and noble status. This indicates the society of ancient Egypt was divided into social classes. Furthermore the use of gold reveals that Ancient Egypt was a very wealthy society and the foreign materials utilized indicate that they were able to establish trading.
